Logix ICF
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are formwork for concrete that stays in place as permanent building insulation for energy-efficient, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete walls, floors, and roofs.
The forms are interlocking modular units that are dry-stacked (without mortar) and filled with concrete. The forms lock together somewhat like Lego bricks and serve to create a form for the structural walls or floors of a building.
ICF forms are currently manufactured from any the following materials:
Polystyrene (Expanded or Extruded) - most common
Polyurethane (including soy-based ones
Concrete is pumped into the cavity to form the structural element of the walls. Usually reinforcing steel (rebar) is added before concrete placement to give the concrete flexural strength, similar to bridges and high-rise buildings made of concrete (see Reinforced concrete). Like other concrete formwork, the forms are filled with concrete in 1–4 foot "lifts" to manage the concrete pressure and reduce the risk of blowouts. After the concrete has cured, or firmed up, the forms are left in place permanently for the following reasons:
Thermal and acoustic insulation
Space to run electrical conduit and plumbing. The form material on either side of the walls can easily accommodate electrical and plumbing installations.
Backing for gypsum boards on the interior and stucco, brick, or other siding on the exterior
We have one mission and it’s very simple – in a world in which almost 40% of our energy is consumed by buildings, and in a world in which most of us spend about 90% of our time indoors, we help people to live, work and play in green, healthy and energy efficient LOGIX buildings.
LOGIX has the power and backing of five ICF manufacturers who operate molding plants across North America. Our commitment to product quality and continual innovation is backed up by over 75 years of ICF manufacturing experience.
LOGIX is the leading Insulated Concrete Form system in North America. With a superior R-value of up to R27 built into its DNA, LOGIX helps you create an airtight building envelope today for the quality of thermal performance that will be expected tomorrow.
Only LOGIX offers choice of panel thickness, core thickness, foam typeand web type. LOGIX is also the easiest ICF product to install, delivering more profit and less pressure to the customer.
